Mrs. Vincente's May 2nd All-Call!
Posted on 05/02/2021

Good evening Glover Wildcats.  This is Mrs. Vincente, your Glover CLC Principal.  Today is Sunday, May 2, 2021.  I am reaching out this evening with some important information for the coming week.

This is Teacher Appreciation Week for the Glover staff. I know how appreciative you are for the staff at Glover and all that they do for your child.

Because of Election Day on Tuesday, May 4th, all APS students will be remote on that day.  Remote learning students will have their same schedule.  In-person students that are remote on May 4th will be in Google Meets with their classroom teachers from 8:30 - 2:30.  They will follow their regular in-person schedule.

OST Testing continues this week for third and fifth grade in Math and Science for fifth grade.  Please make sure your child is here every day and on time.

Remote students that would like to complete the OST Math test, please come to Glover on Wednesday, May 5th at 8:15 AM.  You will complete both parts of the test.

Interim report cards will be mailed home on Thursday, May 6th. Please go over the report card with your child and give praise for areas of strength and help where your child is struggling.  There are just 23 days of school remaining and we want to finish Wildcat strong!

City-wide Kindergarten registration began on Wednesday, April 21st.  Children must be five years old by September 30th to be eligible for Kindergarten.  We will need your child’s birth certificate, proof of residence, immunization records for your child, and custody papers if there has been a divorce or separation.  If you have any questions about registering for Kindergarten, please call Miss Walker, the Glover school secretary.  Once you have registered you may come to Glover to get a Kindergarten “Welcome bag”.

Summer School is going to look different for APS students this summer.  Students in Kindergarten through fourth grade will have the opportunity to participate in “Mystery Camp”.  It will be three two-week sessions with a week off in between.  It will be grade specific with each grade level having different experiences every two weeks.  More information will be included with the Interim report cards.

As always, please don’t hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or concerns.  Have a wonderful evening.
